Has never experience any form of sexual assault

Does not believe sexual assault is a problem in Texas State University

Believes Texas State can do more in preventing future sexual assaults

Sarah Juenke says that sexual assault is, “any form of conduct that involves unwanted sexual contact or threats.”

“learning more information about the subject and sharing with my peers,” Juenke said on how to prevent sexual assault.

What should Universities do to discourage/condemn sexual assault, and how can they better help the victim(s) on campus?

“More information resources for students to access. Lectures in freshman seminar classes to better inform students about what sexual assault is and the necessary steps you should take to report and or cope.”

What should Universities do to discourage/condemn sexual assault, and how can they better help the victim(s) on campus?
o   A lot of universities talk about sexual assault and consent once or twice, but during the school year it seems that it is never addressed again. Universities should make it a constant topic and make sure that they follow through on the promises that they make to their students, regarding these topics.

Texas State sexual assault survivors talk accountability, victim blaming

By Iris Gonzalez i_g125@txstate.edu SAN MARCOS, Texas – In observation of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, various Texas State students gave their insight to the topics of sexual assault, accountability and consent in student-conducted interviews this April. Although this is accepted as a law of physics, one Texas State University student believes such is questionable when applied to cases of sexual assault. 21-year-old Biology junior Addison Thompson was sexually assaulted. She didn’t name names or give details, but the fact still stands that Thompson was assaulted and believes that universities are not doing enough to make sure people like her assailant face the consequences they deserve. “The people committing [sexual assault] know that they won’t be held accountable,” said Thompson. “[Universities] need to start thoroughly investigating the situation and...
