Traveling across Europe with Tabitha Taylor

Tabitha Taylor is a 22-year-old college student from Austin, Tx.  For eighteen years of her life she lived under the same roof as her now 23-year-old brother, Eric whom just graduated from Texas Tech this past December, Wreck em' tech. Taylor is currently a Junior a Texas State University studying public relations with a minor in business administration. Her dream job is to work for an international company so that she may combine her passion for traveling with her work. However, Taylor has already checked off countries from her bucket list: including London, Paris, Rome, Italy and Switzerland.

During the Summer of 2017, she studied abroad in Europe. It's hard to express the beauty of all these countries but she shares a glimpse of a few with us. Taylor says that London is a place she could see herself eventually calling home. During her time in Paris she says there was so much beauty in watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night, "There's just no place in the world like it." Italy is a cool place to experience because there is many different kinds of geography within the country; from the mountain tops to the beaches to the coliseum. But if you're a wine enthusiast you can visit the flat lands of the wine country.  Switzerland by far was the most expensive place Taylor visited during her time in Europe. However, the clear lakes and high mountains made spending a whole lot of dollars there worth the trip. Tabitha Taylor was born to travel. Surely she will experience more moments like these while helping the image of an international company across the world.

Texas State sexual assault survivors talk accountability, victim blaming

By Iris Gonzalez i_g125@txstate.edu SAN MARCOS, Texas – In observation of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, various Texas State students gave their insight to the topics of sexual assault, accountability and consent in student-conducted interviews this April. Sir Isaac Newton once stated that for every action, there is an equal and opposite consequence of that action. She didn’t name names or give details, but the fact still stands that Thompson was assaulted and believes that universities are not doing enough to make sure people like her assailant face the consequences they deserve. “The people committing [sexual assault] know that they won’t be held accountable,” said Thompson. “[Universities] need to start thoroughly investigating the situation and...
