During the start of time, there were Adam and Eve, but enough about them. It all started in San Antonio, Texas on March 25, 1997, with Kristen Schoultz of the Schoultz lineage. From the beginning she was destined for greatness due to her background in dance. She fantasized of the day she would be a Silver Dancer for her favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs. To further her dreams she decided to further her education and skills at Texas State University. Like all greats, Kristen knew she would need a backup plan. So, she decided to double major in dance and public relations. Following behind her father who was a English major, Kristen took up English as a minor. Today, Kristen is currently a Junior and sees herself finishing college and joining a public relations firm, while also training and working hard to be a professional Choreographer. In her downtime she loves to indulge herself in seafood, Jane the Virgin and 27 Dresses. Recently she decided to adopt and become a mother of a beautiful kitten. Mother and kitten is doing well, and she loves the idea of motherhood everyday. Kristen is a person of many dreams and wants to push till they're all accomplished. She is truly the definition of a ambitious woman, and we commend her for her time. Thank you Kristen!

Texas State sexual assault survivors talk accountability, victim blaming

By Iris Gonzalez i_g125@txstate.edu SAN MARCOS, Texas – In observation of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, various Texas State students gave their insight to the topics of sexual assault, accountability and consent in student-conducted interviews this April.
